Twin Cities Summer Jam Announces Partial Lineup
We have been waiting for some sort of glimmer of things going back to normal. I'm not sure that everything is going to ever go back to the way it was pre-pandemic, but this gives us some hope for live music, festivals and concerts to come back.
Twin Cities Summer Jam which was cancelled or "postponed" from last year is already gearing up for this coming summer of 2021. Right now it is scheduled for July 22-24. The 3 day festival happens at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. So far, they have announced 2 country artists; Carrie Underwood who is scheduled to headline on Thursday the 22nd and the Zac Brown Band who is scheduled for Friday, the 23rd. They have also announced Lynyrd Skynyrd. That's the cool thing about this festival, It's Country, Rock and Pop- there is something for everyone and it's all mixed. For instance, there isn't just one genre per day- you will get a mixture of all 3 genres each day. It's a fun concept that pretty much as people entertained the entire 3 days.
Tickets will be on sale soon according to their website, and there are several levels to choose from, whether you want the whole experience including VIP and camping. You can also just buy day passes. Prices range from $99 and up from there. Parking is $20. They are also planning for any sort of health and safety issues that may happen. Right now, they are planning to move forward with the festival, because they want to be prepared. But there is always that "chance" that the ongoing pandemic could derail this. Right now- let's not think about that, except if you'd like to know what the plan is for that case, you can check out that information as well on their website.
Cheers to LIVE MUSIC!
