With the big changes going on in retail shopping, we are losing a lot of local and national businesses. Brick and mortar stores are slowly but surely being forced out. So, what do we do with all these empty storefronts?  Should we hope that local smaller businesses take the available space. The Herberger's building is quite a large piece of real estate. I can't imagine what kind of local business would have use for so much square footage. Perhaps, a full service drug store downstairs and a giant food court upstairs featuring branches of local restaurants. Just an idea. of course, we could tear the whole thing down and make a downtown park area. According to my wife, i don't always have the best of ideas, so what do you think?  We can't just leave a building that size stand empty, can we?  So, let the great suggestions, you may have, flow.
