Love certainly can make a person stupid, or at least do some pretty stupid things. This woman decided she didn't want to be married any longer to her husband and instead of getting a divorce, she opted to snuff him out with poison.

Amy Murray was working as a nurse at the Jefferson City Correctional Center when she came up with the bright idea of poisoning her husband and then torching the house. Why? She wanted to marry a prisoner doing life for murdering a 72 year old lottery winner.

When the crime took place, Amy was having an affair with Eugene Claypool and told him of her plan and that she would then marry him. After starting the fire at her house, with her already dead husband inside, she took her kids and the dog to McDonald's.

Amy is now locked up on 1st degree murder charge. Looks like the wedding will have to wait.
