There is so much on cable, satellite and streaming now days that it's difficult to keep up with it all.  Seems there are some great shows I haven't even discovered yet. If you're like me, people are always recommending show that you need to watch.

It took me awhile to get around to checking out "Ozark" but when I finally got around to checking it out, I was hooked.  I'm giving this series the highest praise I've given a TV show since the "Sopranos" debuted.

This most excellent drama stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner.  The cast is excellent and the location, which is actually in Georgia, looks like the Ozarks to me.

Bateman plays the part of Marty Byrde, a straight up legit accountant that must uproot his family in suburban Chicago and flee to the Ozarks. Marty's partner, in the accounting firm, got him tangled with a Mexican drug cartel and Marty must now work for the cartel laundering money.

I can't wait for season 4 to come out. Unfortunately it could be as late as sometime in 2021 due to the pandemic shutdowns. Netflix renewed the show for a 4th season consisting of 14 new episodes with the season split into two 7 episode parts.

If you haven't checked "Ozark" out yet, I highly recommend watching the first 3 season on Netflix. You won't regret it.

On the renewal, Bateman commented  “A super-sized season means super-sized problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end with a bang(s).”
