Your Two Dollar Bill Could Actually Be Worth THOUSANDS!
Who knew that a 20-year old $2 bill could be worth...well, more than $2. A single $2 bill (y'all) with a lowwww serial number sold for $2400 at an auction. $2400?! Wild, until you find out that it got re-auctioned and re-sold for $4000.
A single $2 bill. Y'all.
Uncirculated (wunadem fancy city slicker wurds for "unused") $2 bills could be worth at least $1000. AT LEAST.
Have an uncirculated (gittarope!) $2 bill without a red band from 1918? That could be over $1000 in your chaps, Hoss!
An uncirculated (y'all ain't from 'round here, is ya?) 1890 $2 Treasury Note with a red seal is worth at least $4500.
Even circulated (we call 'em "used" in these here parts) $2 bills from the 1800s (back when the west was wilder than an old wet hen) could lasso you up to $2500.
You could get quite a few head of cattle with that kinda tin, partner!
Did your grandparents gift you a $2 and you dared to look at them with even a sliver of contempt? Time to apologize. Profusely. Even if you have to find a medium and throw a séance party to do so.
Grandmas don't want their grandbabies to grow up to be idiots. If you have any old and/or uncirculated (if I told you once I done told you twice!) bills - even other denominations - check out the US Currency Auction website to see if you might be sitting on a gold mine oil field decent chunk of change!
