When one goes back in time in their mind and try to re-think of good memories usually one of those turns to music, I thought I'd comprise some of the great music considered classic tunes from 1967.One of my criteria was those songs that were 45 singles and made the Top 40 pop charts of 1967. With various sources involved, chart positions, sales figures at release time to present day which included critical standing and historical importance.

I will cover the likes of The Beatles, The Who, Aretha Franklin, Sam & Dave, The Rolling Stones, Jackie Wilson, The Doors, Buffalo Springfield, Procol Harum and Otis Redding.

In many Oldies guides of today, bands are usually only allowed to submit one entry per year to balance out the view of the cultural landscape.
