40 Years Of Classic Rock, 1973 – 2013 Part Two, The Rolling Stones – ‘Goats Head Soup’ [VIDEOS]
One might think being 1973 The Rolling Stones were quite young and inexperienced at their craft but far from it actually, 'Goats Head Soup' was their 13th studio album that saw one single from it soar to #1.
The Rolling Stones had already released 12 albums in the U.S alone and 10 in the U.K., the single "Angie"skyrocketed to #1 in both countries.
The expectations from critics and fans alike were both high considering just a little over a year ago they released,'Exile on Main Street."
Bud Scoppa (Rolling Stone) best describes the album as "a romantic work, with an unmistakable thread of life- affirming pragmatisms running through it. It is set apart not only from Exile, but every past Stones' LP, by it's emphasis on the ballad."
