Wolves' forward Kevin Love will not require surgery after breaking two bones in his shooting hand while doing knuckle pushups during a morning workout. K-Love saw a specialist Thursday but will still be out 5-7 weeks.
The high school football pairing in section 85A and section 53A have been released. In section 85A Moorhead is the #1 seed, Sartell-St. Stephen is the #2 seed, Apollo is seeded #3, Tech is #4, Alexandria is #5 and Sauk Rapids-Rice is seeded #6. The top two seeds get a first round bye with #6 Sauk Rapids-Rice playing at #3 Apollo at 7pm Tuesday night. #5 Alexandria will play at #4 Tech at 8:15pm at SCSU Tuesday night.
The St. Cloud State men's hockey team will host the University of Alabama-Huntsville Friday and Saturday nights at the National Hockey Center in their home openers. The Huskies are 0-2 after dropping a pair of games at New Hampshire last weekend. Sophomore Ryan Faragher is the top goaltender this season with Mike Lee graduating. The Huskies return Drew LeBlanc, and Ben Hanowski amongst others.
The St. Cloud State football team travels to Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota this Saturday to play the Wolves at 2:30pm. SCSU has won 4 games in a row and is 5-2 on the season.
Rocori 26, Tech 13
(Rocori outscored Tech 20-0 in the 2nd half after trailing 13-6 at halftime. Alex Austad ran for 87 yards on 15 carries and 2 touchdowns for Rocori. Brad Fabel threw a 29-yards touchdown pass to Derek Kuechle in the first half.
The High School Football regular season comes to a close tonight throughout the area. The matchups include Rocori (4-3) at Tech (3-4) at Husky Stadium at SCSU at 7pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:45. Both teams have lost 3 games in a row. Rocori is playing without starting quarterback Mac Mueller who is out with a separated shoulder. Junior Brad Fabel has been starting in place of Mueller.

The Vikings face the 4-2 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday the Cardinals will play without quarterback Kevin Kolb.
The Vikings lost 38-26 at Washington to the Redskins Sunday afternoon. Robert Griffin III secured the win by reeling off a 76-yard touchdown run with 2:43 left. The Vikings took a 9-0 lead but trailed 17-9 at halftime. Washington went out to a 30-12 lead before Minnesota mounted a comeback. The Vikings got as close as 30-26 before Griffin scored on the long touchdown run.
The St. Cloud State men's hockey team was swept at New Hampshire this weekend falling 4-2 on Saturday night. SCSU tied the game at 1 apiece in the first period with a goal from Kevin Gravel. New Hampshire took a 2-1 lead in the 2nd when Joey Holka scored a goal for the Huskies to tie the game. New Hampshire took a 3-2 lead in the 2nd period and added a goal in the 3rd.
The St. Cloud State football team won their 5th straight game 55-13 Saturday afternoon against the University of Mary. The Huskies led 35-0 at halftime and were never threatened. SCSU outgained Mary 532-286. Michael Walker ran for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns and Phil Klaphake threw for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns for SCSU. Renard Robinson had 3 catches for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Huskies.
