All together now, "Free Bird" commonly heard at many local clubs when the band came on, someone always was yelling that.

A very unusual name for a band, no question; so what did the band do because they knew no one would pronounce it correctly was break it down phonetically and title their debut album with it, 'leh-nerd 'skin-'nerd.'

They laid diversity on the line for us from a hard sound to soft ballads i.e. "Gimme Three Steps" to "Tuesday's Gone."

The band became a household name after opening for The Who in 1973 during their U.S. tour.

Certified 2x Platinum U.S. and Silver U.K., #27 on the album charts in the U.S. and released August 13th, 1973.
