Whoa.

The first thing that raced through my mind was how many movies the music was featured in.

"Stealers Wheels"Stuck in the Middle With You" used in "Reservoir Dogs" ( a way-classic moment with my man, Michael Madsen - Hey, what's goin on'? Can you hear that?).

Then there's young Matt Damon as Wil Hunting in "Good Will Hunting", jumping out of a car to thrash someone who'd disrespected him some fifteen years ago as kids (Lord that scene is important to me).

That opening sax riff of "Baker Street" is an instantly, recognizable classic. It's right there with any famous guitar riff.

And he's gone.

"Baker Street" was off the album "City to City". I've introduced it an innumerable amount of times on the air.

It was a huge hit in the mid-seventies but he faded away after that.

He was only 63.

The whole "it happens in threes" cliche being what it is, we've now lost actor Pete Postlewaite and Rafferty in the same few days.

I liked them both. That's enough this time.
