If you ever flown before you've seen the first class seats on the way to your coach seat and have probably thought, "why the hell can't I sit up there".  Well, you know the answer, you don't have the money to buy one.  But what sucks even worse is seeing an empty first class seat go to waste, which begs the question, "what lie could I tell the flight attendant to get me up there?"

If you have ever lied before to try to get a first class seat you are in the 16% of people surveyed that did the same thing.  You better have a good lie though, as the airline staff have heard it all.

Here are the most common lies told to get a first class seat.

1.  You're newlyweds on your honeymoon.
2.  You're afraid of flying.
3.  You're going to a funeral.
4.  You're a bride heading to your wedding.
5.  You have cancer.
6.  You're pregnant.
7.  You have a severe leg injury.

Amazingly over 40% of people said lying actually worked.  I guess i'll have to try next time I fly.
