Jack White at Third Man Records/YouTube

Last Saturday during Record Store Day 2014, Jack White gathered his musician friends and a couple hundred select fans for a private show at Third Man Records in Nashville with one purpose in mind; To record, cut, press, design and distribute an actual vinyl record of two the new songs he performed. The show was at 10am and by 2pm, he was on the street selling the piece of history.

That my friends is why I think Jack White will, 20 years from now, be referred to in the same breaths as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jim Morrison and other musical legends.

Here's the video of the process. My only beef is that he seems to have edited the actual performance during the video. I guess I'll have to buy the record. Oh wait. That was probably the point, wasn't it...
