New Bob Dylan Tribute Set On The Way [VIDEO]

Our boy from Hibbing is being paid homage to.

A huge, four CD tribute set to the legendary Bob Dylan will be released January 24th.

All total, 75 of the legend’s songs will be covered by everyone from modern rockers My Chemical Romance to – gasp – Miley Cyrus and even actress Evan Rachel Wood.

Chimes of Freedom: The Music of Bob Dylan is being released to salute the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International, with proceeds from sales of the set going to the organization.

Looking over the full track listing, there are some bizarre entries to be sure (Miley Cyrus, really?) but also some that are mega-intriguing.

Pete Townsend handling “Corrina Corrina“, Ziggy Marley doing “Blowin’ in the Wind“, Silverspun Pickups covering “Not Dark Yet” (a spectacular piece Bob recorded in the late 90′s) and Dave Matthews offering up a live take of “All Along the Watchtower” are all very promising.

My one question: where exactly are Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young in all of this?
