Police K9 Officers Compete in Can-Am Police-Fire Games

SAUK RAPIDS — Some 30 officers and their police dogs are competing for top honors in the police service dog portion of the Can-Am Police-Fire Games.

The dogs and their handlers go through five different exercises consisting of agility, obedience, evidence, box searches and protection.

Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top units and medals will also be given out to the Overall Top Dog.

The officers are also receiving their certification through the competition.
