ST. CLOUD --St. Cloud police are looking for a suspect involved in several break-ins, Friday morning at area banks.

Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a property damage complaint at Bremer Bank at 2nd Street South in St. Cloud just after 3:00 a.m.

The caller says they were dropping of a deposit at the bank and noticed a broken window at the business. Police say the suspect used a rock to break a window to get into the bank. Once inside, the suspect used a torch to gain entry into the teller drawers and left with an unknown amount of cash.

At about 8:00 a.m. officers were called to another property damage complaint this time at Wells Fargo at 200 33rd Avenue South. Police say an unknown suspect used a rock to break the drive through window, but was unable to get inside. The suspect also tried to use a torch to melt the glass.

Finally, officers responded to a report of vandalism at about 9:15 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Quarry Road. The caller said a suspect tried to use a torch to melt open the change box on a vending machine.

Based on evidence for the string of incidents police believe the crimes were committed by the same person. Surveillance video shows the suspect holding a torch with a yellow tank.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Cloud police department.
