Halloween isn't exactly the most conducive holiday to the pet, the constant doorbell ring and the creepy little monsters stir up the pet.

Hopefully these tips listed below will help you out somewhat and your pet.

  • keep them away from the candy, especially the chocolate it's pretty toxic for their system (caffeine especially), you don't want your dog to get sick or maybe even die.
  • refrain from putting real candles in your pumpkins as they could very well knock them over and start a fire. That's the last thing you need.
  • don't force your pet to wear a costume if they hate the idea, some dogs are okay with it but cats forget it. My cat would haunt me forever if i made her wear a costume.
  • probably as a whole simply put your pet in the bedroom and close the door during the peak trick or treat hours. When things settle down let them out. You don't want your pet to get outside especially if they bite.

The whole idea is to help reduce the stress on your pet.

Happy Halloween to you and your pet.
