R.I.P. Jon Lord
Every weekday morning we pull a song out of the "attic". If you are new, the attic is a mythical place we used to hang out and enjoy great music and other "stuff".
After a long battle with pancreatic cancer that forced him to give up playing for Deep Purple in 2002, Jon Lord suffered a fatal pulmonary embolism today.
Every weekday around 9:30, we pull one out of the attic. In case you are new, the Attic is a mythical place where we were “enlightened” by great music…and other stuff.

Nearly 20 years ago Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan hooked up with the remains of Black Sabbath and recorded one spectacular album called 'Born Again'. The band-mates went their separate ways, but some of us only knew it was a matter of time before the most interesting version of Black Sabbath returned. Gillan, Tony Iommi and Deep Purple key-master Jon Lord have released a new album and the proceeds are going to charity.
