The 3rd ranked St. Cloud State Huskies (22-5-1) dominated the Bemidji Beavers (11-11-1) 5-2 this evening at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul to claim their first Northstar College Cup title in the tournament's third year. Minnesota State (Mankato) beat the Minnesota Gophers 3-2 earlier in the day in the third place game.

The #3 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey team beat Minnesota State (Mankato) 5-4 yesterday  at the Xcel Energy Center in the first game of the 2016 Northstar Cup tourney. The late game saw Bemidji State drop the Minnesota Gophers 4-2, setting up this afternoon's title game between the Huskies and Beavers.
