It's only mid-October and the Moondance Jam 23 camp is pretty excited. A release from organizers has put the stamp of approval on 4 bands who are no stranger to Minnesota.

Since founding their Rock to the Rescue charity in 2002, frequent tourmates Styx and REO Speedwagon have raised money for a growing number of worthy causes. Their latest focus: the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

One of the two most recently discovered moons of the planet Pluto has been given a name that's very familiar to classic rock fans: Styx.

Former Styx frontman Dennis DeYoung brought his solo show titled 'The Music of Styx' to Nashville's historic War Memorial Auditorium on Friday night (June 28).
