The Propaganda Film Trailer from the 30’s That Helped Lead to the Outlawing of Marijuana

As relatively harmless as Marijuana is, you might wonder how it ever became illegal in the first place.  It was a well orchestrated propaganda campaign who some say was financed by newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst. He also owned paper mills and feared that hemp would cut into his investments in paper. Watch this trailer for the Reefer Madness film and see just how untrue and misleading it is. Over eighty years have gone by and we still have marijuana scheduled in the same class as heroin.  Totally ridiculous!
