It all started in 1975 when out of  San Fransisco, California emerged a shock rock band by all means named The Tubes.

I actually had a chance to see The Tubes back in the Seventies at Winterland in San Fransisco and was blown away at the performance.

A combination of bands , The Beans, and The Red, White and Blues Band out of Phoenix, AZ. and re-locate to San Fransisco and The Tubes were born.

An early history of the band featured Fee Waybill,  Re Styles  (vocals) and percussionist Mingo Lewis (Santana).

The Tubes have opened for the likes of Led Zepplin, Iggy Pop and The New York Dolls.

The current line-up and still touring are Fee Waybill, Roger Steen, Prairie Prince, Rick Anderson and David Medd.

Outside Inside came out in 1983 on Capitol Records and yielded a few hits, including the hit "She's A Beauty" which reached number 10 on the US Charts.  A song featured in the film Xanadu and a  video played many a time during the early days of MTV .
