This weekend features great music by the Ides of March, Fabulous Armadillos, Mick Sterling, and The Receders at Takin' It To The Streets. Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat will also be taking the stage for it's run out in Cold Spring. Also plenty more music, art, and performances in The Weekender.

    Takin' It To The Streets

    5th Ave. Downtown St. Cloud

    Takin' It To The Streets '15 is on Saturday. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the music starts at 6:00 p.m. with a legendary lineup.

    The Ides of March will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. The show will be featuring Jim Peterik formally of Survivor. You hear classic songs like Vehicle, Eye of the Tiger, High on You, and The Search is Over along with other Peterik songs such as Hold On Loosely, Fantasy Girl, Rockin' Into The Night, and many more.

    The Fabulous Armadillos are celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year. For this concert they have invited back many of their special guests through out the years. Joining the Armadillos on stage will be Randall Hall from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kevin Chalfant from The Storm and Journey. The Fabulous Armadillos hit the stage at 9:30 p.m.

    The Born To Run: The Music of Bruce Springsteen show will be opening the whole concert starting at 6:00 p.m. The show is fronted by Mick Strerling and also features Justin Ploof, Jason Ploof, Jeff Lee, Andy Ferkinoff, and David Eiland.

    There is also a special rooftop performance at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. This year it will be featuring a reunion show by The Receders. Each of the band members have 25 years of experience. They play of variety of familiar songs that you are sure to dance to.

    The event will have local food vendors, beer gardens featuring Third Street Brewhouse, a wine tent, and a mojito station. Tickets are $44 and $89 for VIP. Be sure to get your tickets by tomorrow (July 31st).

    Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

    Glanville Smith Auditorium - ROCORI High School - Cold Spring

    Great Northern Theatre Company is back with it's summer production. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be taking the stage starting tonight, with a total of seven shows both this weekend and next. This week the show runs Thursday through Sunday, and next week Wednesday through Friday. The shows will be at 7:30 p.m. except for on Sunday when it's at 2:00 p.m. Doors will open thirty minutes before the show.

    Music in the Park

    Big Lake & Sartell

    Music in the Park is one of the best times during the summer months, and there's plenty of music to go around. Tonight there are two concerts hitting the stage.

    At Lakeside Park in Big Lake Brooke Lynn will be taking the stage. She is a country singer, and will be playing with Two Mile Final at tonight's concert. Brooke recorded her first album, "Little Angels", down in Nashville when she was only fifteen years old. You can catch her in concert starting at 7:00 p.m. Upcoming performances include Bob and the Beach Combers, Mitch Gorden and the Undead Band, Band 51, and Brat Pack Radio.

    At Pinecone Central Park in Sartell Imagine Haggis will also be taking the stage at 7:00 p.m. The band plays ballads of Scottish folk along with other up-tempo songs. Be sure to bring your own lawn chair to enjoy this great music. Upcoming concerts at Sartell's Music in the Park include the Becky Schlegel Trio and Greg Herriges' New Whirled Band.

    Kinky Boots

    Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

    Kinky Boots is Broadway's high-heeled hit. Songs by GRAMMY and Tony award winning Cyndi Lauper are featured in the musical. Two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell leads the direction and Choreography.

    The story follows Charlie Price who struggles as he tries to live up to his father's expectations of taking over the family business. The show will take you from a shoe factory in Northhampton to the catwalks of Milan. CLICK HERE for a preview of the musical. Kinky Boots has won six Broadway Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Choreography.

    Tickets range from $49 to $144. The show runs through this Sunday.

    Perspective Matters - Mickey Cunningham

    The final weekends are approaching for you to enjoy the art of Mickey Cunningham. The works feature pentimento, the presence or reappearance of an earlier paint stroke that has been changed and covered over. Mickey Cunningham is a contemporary colorist of landscapes, figures,and still lifes. The exhibition runs through August 8th.

    Gallery Saint Germain is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
