This is from a company based in California, and I think we should all have these things.  How cool is this idea?  Great for the environment, but also actually works to replenish the environment.  Awesome idea.

If you are wondering how this works, exactly, it's pretty cool process:

  1. The customer buys the coffee, drinks the beverage, then either dumps the cup in a marked bin at the restaurant or takes the cup home.
  2. Simply unravel the cup. Planting zone are found on the cup itself and planting instructions on the bottom of the cup.
  3. Soak the unraveled cup in water for about five minutes.
  4. Plant!

If you are wondering if the hot coffee will at all harm the seeds that the cup is infused with, apparently not.  They have done a bunch of testing, and all is good.  I think that every coffee shop should implement this plan.  How awesome!  I do realize it might make the cost of the coffee to go up, but you are helping...even restoring the environment.
