One of the ugliest divorces in the history of sports might have a happy ending after all, as the Green Bay Packers might be getting closer to inviting Brett Favre back to have his jersey retired according to NFL.com.

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy says he wants Favre "back in the family" and that Favre "deserves to have his number retired for what he accomplished and meant to the Packers during his time here."

It’s a tricky situation, for sure, considering the last time Favre was in Lambeau Field, he was playing for the rival Minnesota Vikings and was booed mercilessly.

And, it would be totally embarrassing for Favre to show up for a nationally televised ceremony – only to be booed loudly again.
