This situation has prompted Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc to "reevaluate" about 70 locations  These reevaluations could include some closures.

Between 10 and 15 Red Robin locations could close in 2025. The chain closed one restaurant last year when the building lease expired. The rest of the unprofitable restaurants are expected to close within five years.

Red Robin has four locations in Minnesota.  They are in Apple Valley, Plymouth, Shoreview and one in St. Cloud.  There has been no mention when or if any of these locations will be on the list for closure.

Even though some of the 498 locations have not been performing as well financially as they would have hoped, the CEO, G.J. Hart said in a release that he is happy with some aspects of the customer experience.

While financial results for 2024 fell well below our original expectations, we’ve made substantial improvements to the guest experience and believe we still have a significant opportunity ahead of us to reach the full potential of our iconic brand

We will have to wait a bit to see if the St. Cloud location is one of the restaurants that will face a closure.  Let's hope not.  Red Robin... YUMMM....
