The Minnesota Wild have signed wing Nino Niederreiter to a 5-year $26.25 Million contract. Niederreiter filed for arbitration earlier this month and had a hearing scheduled for Thursday.

The matchups for Hockey Day Minnesota 2018 at Lake George were announced Wednesday night at Summertime by George. The event will feature a variety of college and high school hockey games played outdoors on Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th.

It was announced this morning that the Las Vegas Golden Knights will select one player from each of the 30 NHL teams on Wednesday (June 21st) as part of the NHL’s annual award show. And yes, that does mean that someone from the Minnesota Wild will be leaving us.

This is the third time in Wild history that the team has had two players selected to the game. Defenseman Filip Kuba and goalie Dwayne Roloson were both selected in 2004, and in 2011 defenseman Brent Burns and forward Martin Havlat each made it.
