You Can Always Come Back – Even Retail in Minnesota
There have been so many stores closing, pop ups replacing some of those stores, and other forms of retail experiences that have been replacing the traditional stores - these are happening mostly in malls. Owners of malls have been doing everything they can to make sure that there is still foot traffic in the mall. Even if it isn't in the form of a traditional store.
SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK
It's nice to see when a retail store basically went out of business, closed their doors, called it quits, makes a comeback after 8 years. I'm talking about the store J. Crew. They filed bankruptcy and closed their doors in the Mall of America. Now, they are making a comeback.
From Bring Me the News:
J. Crew returned on June 24, eight years after it exited the Bloomington shopping center. The clothing retailer revealed plans for the store in January, but hadn’t announced an opening date for its roughly 7,000-square-foot store until Wednesday, when it opened next to Banana Republic at Level 1, South.
THEY DEFINITELY HAVE THEIR OWN TIMELESS STYLE THAT WORKS
I wasn't a huge shopper of J. Crew, it's kind of a preppy look to me. Is preppy even a word that anyone understands anymore? I don't really have anothe rway to describe their "look". Maybe very traditional, timeless pieces that you can continue to wear for quite awhile. They have a style that doesn't go out of style in the next 10 minutes.
THE MALL OF AMERICA STORE IS THE SECOND STORE RE-OPENING IN MINNESOTA
The store did also make a comeback to Southdale Mall too last year. Apparently the store in the Mall of America is now open - but the "Grand Opening" for this store will be in August. I'm assuming there will be some special pricing for some items at that time. That's usually how that works - that, and some other incentives.
Welcome J. Crew back to the Mall of America!
