If you are a bourbon drinker, this is sad news, indeed. We deal with a lot of losses in life but this is a horrible example of getting lit up.

Yesterday (7/3) a Jim Beam warehouse in Versailles, Kentucky burst into flames, Firefighters in Kentucky are working feverishly to contain the fire at the burning Jim Beam warehouse that is filled with about 45 thousand barrels of bourbon.

Emergency Management Director, Drew Chandler says the fire started last night at the barrel warehouses. They were able to put out one of the fires while the other burned for hours. Lightning is most likely the cause of the fires.

The road nearby has been closed down and firefighters expect to be working into the night to put out the blaze. Hopefully they are able to save some of the bourbon or maybe they'll come out with Smokey Jim Beam.
