United Healthcare CEO Murdered In New York City

Multiple media outlets this morning are reporting that United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thompson, was shot and killed in New York City. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has posted his reaction to the loss of the Minnesota CEO on social media.

In a post that linked out to the news of Thompson being killed in New York City, Governor Tim Walz called the news 'horrifying and a terrible loss' for both the business and healthcare communities.

According to Yahoo! "Thompson was reportedly shot in the chest near the New York Hilton on Sixth Avenue just before 7 a.m. Thompson was in New York Hilton for an investor conference, which was scheduled for today.

Online accounts of the murder indicated that New York Police alleged a masked person shot Thompson and then fled the area.
