My Top 10 Favorite Classic Rock Songs Of All Time (And Why)

Obviously, one’s taste in music is entirely subjective. What one person loves another person hates, and that’s okay. Today dear reader I’m going to share with you my personal top 10 favorite classic rock songs. Here we go.

1. Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd

Although this list is no particular order, I did put this one at the top because it’s my favorite classic rock song of all time. Let’s be honest – this song gives everyone the feels.

2. Welcome To The Machine – Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd is my favorite classic rock band of all time, so I had to put at least a couple of their tunes on this list. This song is trippy, dark, and eerie. It’s everything that I love in a good rock song.

3. Dreams – Van Halen

For a couple of years, this was actually my favorite song. It’s hard to be sad when you listen to this one. Eddie’s 2^nd guitar solo here is one of the few things that gives me hope for the human race.

4. Black Dog – Led Zeppelin

This riff is just too cool. And come on – it’s Zeppelin man.

5. Jaded – Aerosmith

This isn’t one of their most played songs,  but it’s one of their most original pieces. It’s both trippy, and uplifting. Very cool tune.

6. Panama – Van Halen

I’m a huge Van Halen fan, and although I prefer Sammy, I love Dave too. This is Dave’s crowning achievement with the Van Halen bros.

7. While My Guitar Gently Weeps – The Beatles

Probably their darkest sounding song. Plus, it’s The Beatles. They kind of have to make the list.

8. No Quarter – Led Zeppelin

Zeppelin’s most psychedelic tune. Tool does an astonishing cover of this song (which is partially why it made the list.)

9. In The Street – Cheap Trick

Yes, this is the theme song to “That 70’s Show.” I’ve kicked off countless parties by blaring this song through my speakers. This one had to make the list because “That 70’s Show” is basically my life. Hanging out with my juvenile group of friends and drinking beer is my favorite pastime.

10. Landslide – Fleetwood Mac

Another song that hits you right in the feels. This one will bring a grown man to tears (not saying that it makes me cry or anything… okay it makes me cry.)

Honorable Mention: Who’s Cryin’ Now – Journey

Journey has to be on the list. Everyone loves Journey. If you don’t then we can’t be friends. This is a beautiful song that earns my honorable mention.
