I know, you're thinking;

"What The Hell, Sloan? You play every damn Zeppelin tune ever and a couple of Plant's already... Quit hitting the pipe and snap out of it. And where the hell is my Secret Stash oldie?"

Granted, at the LOON we're kind of Led Zeppelin crazy. Jenna James in particular. She gives you 3 in a row every weeknight from what Rolling Stone readers called 'The Greatest Rock Band Ever'. She also dives into one of the song's history or myth and relates a Zeppelin-esque tale about it.

But like I've said in previous columns... this is for the songs that get requested that we can't play for whatever reason. This week I bring you NEW music from Robert Plant. It's been requested several times, especially the week it was released back in September of 2010.

The LOON is a 'Classic Rock' station. In the literal definition of the term that means the newest song we play is from about 1998- Kenny Wayne Shepherd's 'Blue On Black'.

The tune is called 'Angel Dance' and it's from Plant's new album Band Of Joy, which is also the name of the back-up group itself. He rekindled some old musical relationships from pre--Zep years. This song bears a strikingly similar sound to Zep classics such as 'When The Levee Breaks', 'Ramble On' and 'Gallows Pole'.You can also check out a quick review of the album and an extended interview with Plant in another one of my columns here on the LOON website.
