- The cause of legendary singer/songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen's death has been released. Cohen was battling cancer, but turns out he died from complications of a bad fall. Cohen just released his latest solo album You Want It Darker, and was 82 years old.
- It's been almost a year since Stone Temple Pilot's lead singer Scott Weiland died, and it appears that the band has found their replacement. Entertainment Tonight reports that band members have selected former X Factor finalist Jeffrey Adam Gutt to take over as frontman.
- More drama is revolving around Bob Dylan and his Nobel Prize in literature. Turns out Bob sent the academy a personalized letter, explaining he would not be able to accept the Nobel Prize in person next month due to “pre-existing commitments”.
- Sammy Hagar has announced a new solo LP called This Is Sammy Hagar Vol. 1 — When the Party Started and it will be available on November 18th! On the 14 tracked album, Sammy said “with this collection, I wanted to revisit the music which would come to redefine my career post Van Halen,”.
If you remember, Scott Weiland died here in Bloomington, Minnesota of a terrible overdose on his tour bus. The date was Decemeber 3rd, 2015 and he was 48 years old.
