Every weekday we take a look at what's happening in music news. Check out the headlines here!
- Last night we had the Grammys on CBS, and needless to say, for a musical performance the equipment was not the best. Just look at Metallica's technical difficulties while trying to perform "Moth Into Flame" with Lady Gaga. James Hetfield had a non-functioning microphone, and ultimately had to share with Lady Gaga for a while.
- Besides all the flops during the Grammys, David Bowie at least had a good night. The late-legend received 5 Grammys for his last album Blackstar that he released just days before his death.
- Attention booze-hounds – Sammy Hagar has come up with a new tequila hybrid with the help of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. The two have come together to form the world’s first mezquila — a blend of the agave-based liquors mezcal and tequila, calling it Santo Mezquila.
- Is your sweetheart a big Guns N’ Roses fan? Well, we’ve got the perfect thing for the rocker chick in your life. 1-800-FLOWERS is offering the Guns N’ Roses Bouquet – where if you order it, your Valentine will receive not only a beautiful bouquet of red roses (fitting!) but also two tickets to see the band when they go on tour this summer. Don’t forget, Guns N’ Roses are coming to U.S. Bank Stadium in July!
