- Besides the huge Oscar flub from last night - there's something else to talk about: Elton John hosting the 25th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, rounding up Sting and Adam Lambert. This year’s fundraising total hasn't been announced, but the 2016 event brought in $6.2 million.
- We officially have unconfirmed rumors of a new AC/DC album with the help of Axl Rose! An Australian based Noise11, titling their headline “Angus Young Planning a New AC/DC Album With Axl Rose for 2018″, and then stating “The chemistry between Axl Rose and Angus Young has inspired Angus to start planning another AC/DC record but Guns N’ Roses touring commitments throughout 2017 will make it difficult to finalise the project.”. Keep in mind, there has been no previous mention of any sessions from either camp, and no confirmation of these reports.
- Eddie Van Halen is such a straight up guy, and he is sharing his love for music with children. Eddie donated 75 guitars from his personal collection to the nonprofit Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, which is giving them away to low-income public schools.
- Bobby Blotzer of Ratt is going to take his tour on the sidelines, claiming it has nothing to do with the legal struggle of the band’s name – but actually for medical reasons. Bobby is planning on having back surgery, after battling some serious issues for years.
