Every weekday we take a look at what's happening in music news. Check out the headlines for today, here!
- Alright, hold on to your hats - because a lot of retired rockers just kicked the bucket. Founding Molly Hatchet bassist Banner Thomas just died at the age of 63. AND former Autograph drummer Keni Richards has died at the age of 60. These two deaths are just the icing on the cake for losing J. Geils of J. Geils Band two days ago.
- Hey big Led Zeppelin fans – we get to hear a classic by the legendary rockers in the new Thor trailer. Thor:Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd – but this isn’t the first time “Immigrant Song” has been used in cinemas. It was also in 2003’s School of Rock and 2007’s Shrek the Third.
- Even though Black Sabbath is all done touring and making new music, we might be getting a live new LP of their final shows. Along with the news of a possible live album, it sounds like the band is in the works for a full length documentary!
- The last time former Journey singer Steve Perry released a solo project was back in 1994. But now it would appear we are getting a new one later this year! Perry mentioned this new album is very emotional, as a lot of it was written about someone he loved and lost to breast cancer.
