In 1969, I was 15 years old and was pretty in tune with the rock scene, or so I thought. All would change when a friend told me I had to come over to his house and listen to this new album his older sister just bought.

It was Led Zeppelin's debut album and it just blew me away. There was nothing not to love about this record. Later, Zeppelin was accused of plagiarizing some of the tunes from old blues songs but hey, that didn't diminish the whole impact of this album.

Every Zeppelin album that followed was highly anticipated. I'd be willing to bet that a good percentage of people that bought Zeppelin albums, bought them the very day they came out.

Today, Led Zeppelin is still one of the most popular selling artists and their music lives on and continues to infect generations.
