The Vikings vacate the Mankato camp for their 2nd preseason game with Ponder "feeling good".

Viking running back Adrian Peterson returned to practice for the Vikings and for the first time this season in full pads. Peterson took only a few hand-offs but the defense was instructed not to hit him.

The Vikings activated running back Adrian Peterson from the physically unable to perform list Sunday.  Peterson is coming back from a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee and has been ahead of schedule in his rehab.  Peterson was able to practice with the Vikings Sunday but cannot practice in pads until Tuesday because of the new collective bargaining agreement prohibits practicing in full pads

The Vikings lost 17-6 in their preseason opener Friday night. Christian Ponder engineered both scoring drives that led to two field goals in the first quarter from rookie Blair Walsh.
