First Day of 56th Grade. It’s Back to School Time.

With my two daughters both in college now, I can only flash back fondly on getting kids prepared for school.  Who can forget the Hell of rounding up everything on the school supply list?  Or getting your kid on the school bus for the first time only to follow the bus all the way to school, just to make sure they get off the bus?  Worse yet, discovering that one of their teachers is a woman you dumped years ago.  Okay, that might be a long shot.  Anyway, school is on soon, so  get ready for a barrage of first day of school pics on Facebook.  And, please, remember the rules.  No passing school buses while the stop sign is extended.  Take it slowly in all school zones.  And pray they don't ask for any help with their homework.  It's best they don't know your intellectual limits until later on when you can plead dementia.
