The former Beatle drummer is in talks to develop a film and from the sounds of it, it's going to be a biopic without actually being a biopic and the story sounds pretty familiar.

Picture a dreary mining town and four young men playing their cares away by creating music. That's the concept behind a new film that's being developed by former Beatle Ringo Starr and former Eurythmics member Dave Stewart and being written by David Harris.

The working title of the project is called Hole in the Fence and is based on their music and it's being called a 'musical drama' that follows a group of kids in this mining town who form a band in order to not get sucked in to that lifestyle and leave it far behind. Paramount Pictures is behind it for now and it sounds like Ringo and Dave are going to be named executive producers for the film.

This is just one of several film and television projects taking up Dave and David's time. They are also working on a film adaptation of the book Zombie Broadway and are working together on a new sitcom that will apparently feature country singer Reba McEntire.

Meanwhile, there are three new Beatles related films to check out. The first is the George Harrison documentary Living in the Material World. The next is the Beatles lost concert from 1964 that's hitting theaters for a two night run May 17 and finally, Yellow Submarine is headed to DVD and Blu Ray at the end of the month.
