There are definitely some strange laws in this country some still recognized and some buried so far in the books even lawmen don't know what they are.

Since we live in Minnesota here's a strange law without question:

Any game in Minnesota which participants try and capture an oiled or greased pig is illegal, also turkey scrambles, whatever that is. Not sure if the legislation is concerned more with human stupidity or the cruelty of animals.

In Wisconsin and yes known for their cheese, after all; they are the dairy state, any state certified cheese, i.e., Colby, Cheddar, Monterey Jack without question has to be "Highly Pleasing."

In Iowa you can be charged with a misdemeanor if you try to pass off margarine as real butter. Let the games begin: butter versus margarine.

South Dakota law states if you're an agricultural producer it's okay to set off fireworks to protect their sunflower crops, as long as it's at least 600 feet from a home, church, school etc...it probably wouldn't be a law if it weren't for the crows and birds destroying them as they blossomed.

There are others that are far more ridiculous in this country, I just tried to pick some close to home.
