If AC/DC fans in the U.K. have their way this Christmas, no one will have to sing 'Do You Hear What I Hear?,' because they'll all be surrounded by the sounds of the band's classic 1979 hit 'Highway to Hell.'

According to a new book, former AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott was nearly fired from the group back in 1975 after he almost died from a heroin overdose.

Classic rock is about heavy hooks, power chords and tight harmonies. But it’s also about letting loose and enjoying the good times. And there’s no better time for that than Friday evening, when we pick up our paycheck, punch out of work and enjoy a couple days of much-needed rest and relaxation.

The development of rock as we know it today is thanks to invention of the electric guitar. Thanks to each artist that used their own innovation of the electric guitar were able to provide some of the most memorable songs.

The song "Back In Black" is a tribute to their late singer Bon Scott who died in 1980, in fact; AC/DC recorded it a few months after he passed.

It may have taken AC/DC a bit longer than most bands to take the digital plunge and get their music up on iTunes, but since then, the band has been making up for lost time. Yesterday (Dec. 19) the band announced that they have uploaded six concert videos to the online retailing giant.

The members of AC/DC have made me feel like I've watching an ongoing game of ping-pong the last couple of months. They can't seem to make a decision about whether or not they will be getting back in the studio, but the most recent news makes it seems like the game is almost over.

For a band that began their career by putting out 12 albums in the first 15 years of their career, AC/DC have become almost invisible as a studio entity in the ensuing 22 years. Despite still having massive global appeal, they’ve only released three albums since 1990′s ‘The Razor’s Edge,’ and nothing since 2008′s ‘Black Ice.’

They must have been inspired by Brian Johnson, or maybe they wanted some attention, too, but I'm actually intrigued and kind of want to read this one.
