November a great month for releases

It's been a long journey for Aerosmith, but their new album, 'Music From Another Dimension,' will arrive on Nov. 6, a full 11-plus years after their last completely original release 'Just Push Play.'

The devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy brought out some big names from the rock community to lend their voices in support. Last night, a one-hour telethon, ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,’ was broadcast to raise money for the American Red Cross' disaster relief efforts.

Former Kiss drummer Peter Criss has weighed in on the recent comments made by Aerosmith in which they called Kiss "a comic-book" band. Criss, appearing on New York's Q104.3, admitted that he was surprised by Steven Tyler's words as he never felt there was any sort of issue when the bands toured in the past.

Steven Tyler may have a mouth that doesn't quit, but Kiss frontman Paul Stanley is known for giving as good as he gets, and he's firing back at Tyler after the Aerosmith vocalist called Kiss "a comic-book rock band."

With a cachet like Cheap Trick has, it's not frequent that they open for other bands, but the group just signed on for another leg of dates supporting Aerosmith and that suggests that camaraderie has eclipsed billing in terms of importance for the veteran rockers.

Aerosmith are preparing to release their first studio album in more than ten years in November, but their eager fans can get some early sneak previews inside the recording sessions via a series of online webisodes.
