Expired license plates. One of those pains in the a** that needs to be taken care of. It can be difficult to get to when you're busy.

It can be harder when you're 38-weeks pregnant.

Amby Johnson of Seattle was pulled over last week after evading a speed bump due to being right in the middle of a "really bad contraction." But the reason she was stopped by the police officer was her license plates were expired.

Amby was aware of this, though; the new license plates were in her back seat.

But again: bending over while 38-weeks pregnant isn't easy (so I've been yelled at

told).

Another officer - Jim Allen - pulled up to assist. The officers would have been legally right to issue Mrs. Johnson a citation. Instead, they simply instructed Amby to get the new plates installed soon.

Then Amby asked Officer Allen to help her right then and there to get the issue taken care of. Officer Allen kindly obliged.

The photo taken by Mrs. Johnson has gone viral, if for the wrong reason. You can see in the picture that Officer Allen is white.

Amby Johnson (not pictured) is black.

But Amby says that she didn't see it as a race issue.

“Just see the story for what it is,” she said. “A good officer helping out a woman. No race.”
