Am I the Only One Who Forgets to Check Lottery Tickets?

I rarely ever buy a lottery ticket. When I DO buy one, I never check it. Does this happen to you?

So last Sunday was my birthday, and I decided to buy a lottery gift on Saturday. This was exciting to me since I rarely ever buy a ticket.

I threw the $2 down on the counter and confidently said "I'll take a Powerball for tonight". Like I'll win anyways, but you can't win if you don't play! Immediately that ticket went into my wallet, which was my 1st mistake. I don't ever carry cash (so I'm worthless to rob by the way) and never need to check the money flap, which is where I put the lottery ticket.

It's been many days since the drawing and I still haven't checked the ticket. As I write this, I'm reminded to check the dang ticket. Do you think I'll remember in a few minutes? Nope!

Please tell me I'm not the only person this happens to!?!?
