We lost another big one. Peter Fonda left the planet this past Friday morning at 11:05. Cause of death was respiratory failure due to lung cancer. He was the brother of actress Jane Fonda, father of Bridget Fonda and the son of actor Henry Fonda.

Fonda kept a pretty low profile, by Hollywood standards and had lived quietly in Paradise Valley, Montana since 1975.

He did many movies and some TV but the iconic counter culture "Easy Rider" was what he was most noted for. He produced, co-wrote and starred in the movie that was directed by co-star Dennis Hopper. Jack Nicholson also had his first big movie part in "Easy Rider" and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

The soundtrack for "Easy Rider" consisted of music from bands like Steppenwolf, The Band, Bob Dylan and the Byrds. One of the most memorable tunes from the movie was "Don't Bogart That Joint" by the Fraternity of Men.  Check it out below.
