Do you think you are a good driver? If you're like most people in Minnesota, you probably think you are a pretty damn good driver. And you very well might be awesome behind the wheel. But there's a good chance other Minnesotans don't think so.

According to a recent survey from EmpireCovers.com, the average Minnesotan thinks they are a good driver. We rank ourselves as an 8.1 on a scale from 1-10. That is just slightly above the national average ranking of 7.9. I've lived in a few states and many people are not good drivers. Overall I would give the country a score of 6.

When I asked some people I know, they rated other Minnesota drivers with a score of about 6.5. I will admit my sample size it’s not that big but there was no score higher than a 7 and no score lower than a 5.5.

But it turns out that rating yourself high seems to be the norm in most states across the country. A lot of people think of themselves as good drivers.

In my, not-so-scientific poll, the left lane seems to be the number one issue with people. Not the left lane per se, but how Minnesotans drive in it. Too many people don’t know how to use it. So work on your left lane driving Minnesota and remember, the car next to you, doesn't think you are as good of a driver as you think you are.
