Proposed 20 Cent Gas Tax For Minnesota- Needed?

Yes, a twenty cent gas tax for Minnesota is what the Governor has proposed.  It would raise it from approximately 28 cent tax to 48 cents.  Apparently the idea is to use that to improve the roads, bridges, etc.

To the people who have already criticized this Governor Tim Walz says that he ran with this platform, and people still voted for him, so this is no surprise and he feels that the people are okay with this tax hike.

As far as the road conditions go, I can see that maybe there is a need there, but I also understand that Minnesota has a bit of a surplus.  Are we just trying to keep that surplus?  Pad it, so to speak?

We'll see if this goes through....
