It's that time when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions are announced.  We found out this week that Pat Benatar, even though she got the 2nd most vote in the fan vote, is not going to make it in this year.

That sparked a list of women who should supposedly be in the rock hall, and why aren't they?  I looked at this list, and while I do agree with some of them... I really don't with others.  Like Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker... do they know that there is a Country Music Hall of Fame?  That is where those people belong.

I feel like the whole name "Rock and Roll" hall of fame has lost it's meaning.  It's not the MUSIC hall of fame.  It's the ROCK and ROLL hall of fame.  I think the inductees should be in that category.  Nothing against the music or careers of others, but it doesn't fit in the Rock Hall.

This year Whitney Houston is being inducted.  WHAT???  Since when is her music rock? It's Pop.  And it wasn't before there were a bunch of different categories.  He music is always been Pop.  Not at all a dis on her career or talent.  Just not the right genre for the Rock Hall. And this is just one example.  There are a few others that are head scratchers.  So... what is the criteria for the inductees other than having music out that is at least 25 years old?  ANY music?  I'm confused.
