This looks like an unbelievable rush. Ice covered hiking trails and these people have no fear.  Leave it to bored Minnesotans to find another extreme Winter sport.

I have to admit, this looks like a lot of fun. I'd make sure my insurance was up to date before attempting this.

I guess, when downhill skying, snowmobiling and tobogganing just aren't peaking you adrenaline levels, this looks like just the thing.  Or, if you love hiking through the woods and skating, also. Combining the two activities into one, looks like a great idea.

These trails are located at Lester Park in Duluth. Skaters must wait until the conditions are just right. The skaters do nothing to groom the trails for skating. Hard packed trails and some thawing and some rain followed by some extremely cold temps, add up to some pretty good skating.

So, if you are looking for a new adrenaline rush, you may want to check into skating the trails is Duluth. Check out the cool video below
