Starbucks announced a couple of months ago that they would be dropping about 30% of their drink menu. There was no mention of which beverages would be on the list to remove; until now.

They say that the beverages on the list are the less popular drink options, and also in an attempt to make the menu less complicated.  Starting on March 4th, some of the beverages and some food items will be removed. But the goal of 30% reduction won't be complete until September.  So it will be a gradual decrease.

WHAT IS ON THE LIST TO REMOVE?

Espresso Frappuccino, Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino

Iced Matcha Lemonade

Java Chip Frappuccino, White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

Chai Crème Frappuccino, Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino, Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino, Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino, and White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino

White Hot Chocolate

Royal English Breakfast Latte

Honey Almondmilk Flat White

There will also be about 1100 corporate employees that will be let go.

From ABC News:

"This includes the hard decision to eliminate 1,100 current support partner roles and several hundred additional open and unfilled positions," Niccol's memo read.

This does not affect baristas or in-store teams and comes as part of a restructuring the CEO previously announced in January

They also just announced their new limited edition Spring flavor beverages and a jalapeno chicken pocket.  That sounds pretty good.
